Go
to Viridian City and talk to the man who shows you how to catch a Weedle (he
wouldn’t let you pass until you delivered the parcel, remember? For those
cleverclogs who delivered it straight off, “he just had his coffee and he
feels great”) Say you’re not in a hurry, and watch his demonstration.
FLY
to Fuchsia City, and surf to
Seafoam Caves (or Cinnabar Island). At the edge there is a strip where it looks
like your Pokemon is surfing half on land, half in water. Surf on this strip and
just keep on going up and down it. After a couple of seconds you should run into
a Pokemon with either a load of weird symbols and an ‘M’ in his name, or
Missingno. Don’t worry if he looks like a scrambled up shape, he’s supposed
to do that. He is water and flying, and will use attacks like Sky Attack, Water
Gun, and (don’t ask me) glow. Either make it faint or run away. DO NOT CATCH
IT! Missingno can mess up your graphics and erase your saved game and Pokedex.
After
you have fainted/run away from ‘M’ or ‘Missingno’ check the 6th
item in your list and there will be a strange symbol next to it. Hey presto: you
have 99 of that item! Try using it for Max/Super/Hyper potions (you’ll need
them for the Pokemon League), Master Balls (who wouldn’t!), Rare Candies
(super levels for a super cheat) and Nuggets (pretty useless, but you can sell
them for heaps of dosh!)

Use
the cheat above, but deposit your duplicated items in your PC. Then take them
out. There will be two different piles of them. One has 99. The other has around
39. Surprise!
Completely
pointless and utterly useless ‘Man On The Roof Trick’
Go to Cinnabar Island. Surf from the side which Blaine’s Gym is on until it is out of sight. Then turn and surf back. The man who was outside the gym is now on the roof! Another move, and he is back where he was.
How
To Get On Top Of A Tree
Use Cut to cut one of those little trees down. Now stand where the tree was and save. Turn off your gameboy. When you restart, you should be on top of a tree.
Kangaskan
From MissingNo.
Catch a Missingno at level 80; feed it a Rare Candy and it will evolve into a
Kangaskan.

Pokemon #000: Do the Duplicate Items trick up to surfing along Cinnabar Island.
Eventually
you might fight a Pokemon called Missingno. It looks like a scrambled up
microchip or something. It can be almost any level, from 0 to over 100! Just
throw balls at it to catch it. Be warned, having this pokemon can crash your
game and stuff up the graphics (all your Pokemon and the enemy Pokemon can get
all warped). It is number 000 in the pokedex and doesn't haven't an entry. It
has a high attack but all its other status are really low. If you don't want to
risk your game don't catch it.
Fight
Safari Pokemon Elsewhere: To fight and capture Safari Zone Pokemon outside of
the Safari Zone, first go into it. Let the time run out when you're standing in
the patch of grass which holds the Pokemon you want to catch. Step back outside
and use FLY to Fly back to Cinnabar Island. Using SURF, surf up and down the
right side of the shoreline, where you are half on shore and half in the water.
You should then enter some battles with Safari Zone Pokemon- but this time they
can't run! This is how I got my Tauros. This also works with other areas of the game
where you find wild Pokemon.

Sleeping
code!
We all know that Rest recovers HP, but it has a downside: the enemy can kill of
your Pokémon while it's snoring away. However- did you know that you can use
the Pokéflute in battle as well? Simply use Rest
during battle, then during your next turn, play
the Poke Flute. Your Pokemon will wake up ready to go!
Moonstones
There are five Moonstones, and this is where to find them:
1)
In the upper-left hand corner of the first floor of Mt. Moon.
2)
In the basement of the game corner.
3)
In the bottom right corner of Route 2 (need CUT).
4)
In Mt. Moon, before the super nerd's platform, there is a corridor 4 spaces long
and 1 space wide, go to the end of it and press A and poof! You have a
Moonstone!
5)
In the Pokemon Mansion on Cinnabar Island, go up to the right side of one of the
pillars on the right hand side near the entrance. Hit A and it will say you found
a Moonstone.
Unlimited
chances to catch rare Pokemon: Save before fighting. If it faints or you run
away DON'T SAVE. Instead restart

Ditto
Catch Ditto easily by making him turn into Magikarp.
High
Level Pokémon

Money
Do the 99 of any item trick, and then go to any Pokémart. Sell 99 of that item
and keep repeating it until you have the maximum amount of money. Repeat as
often as necessary.
